Fear not the transmogrifying brain fog that is January! For IMAGINATION ENGINE returns to Middlesbrough’s Westgarth Social Club in the new year with a series of LIVE monthly events bringing national and international acts to Teesside.Each event features live performances from bands, DJs and we'll have a merchandise and fanzine stall too.

FEHM (Art is Hard/Untypical Music) begin a run of UK dates in early 2019. The synth wave quintet blend melodic oscillations and catchy hooks with raw, ethereal vocals and driving basslines. Broadcasting  rage and escapism in equal measure. They launch their tour at our Imagination Engine launch party at Westgarth Social Club on Saturday 26th January. Holy Braille hail from Sunderland and are well known for running amock amidst the North East punk flock. Stylish, slick, ethereal synth sounds and vocal atmospherics comprise their theatrical, danceable darkwave soundtrack. FFO Nouvelle Phénomène/Siouxsie and the Banshees/Curve/Sisters of Mercy.

PUTTING THE ALE IN FINALE | Imagination Engine @ ORB

Putting the Ale in Finale: Imagination Engine at Orb.

ORB is all about community feels with a contemporary look. Which is a good look and Imagination Engine are lucky enough to be sharing in the ORB’s 1st anniversary festivities happening this December. The micropub, ale & whiskey house celebrates its first year suitably, with a free entry beer festival. Featuring over twenty expertly selected casks and keg beers, alongside high spirits and myriad potent elixirs. The ceremonial seasonal fun offers something for everyone.

The festival flows on from Wednesday 5th December at the venue on Coniscliffe Road, Darlington, finishing on Sunday 9th December. When, in the first of a series of Sunday Socials, Imagination Engine will be providing live entertainment.

To herald the finale of the ORB 1st anniversary festival Imagination Engine host artist, vocalist and guitarist, Vicky Barber, whom will perform live. Playing music from artists including but not exclusive to Dua Lipa | Pink Floyd | George Ezra | David Bowie | Paolo Nutini. Come round for all of the good vibes at the venue from Wednesday 7th and engage the Imagination Engine on Sunday 9th for Vicky Barber’s solo acoustic sets between 4&7pm

Responsibly raise a glass and break into a warm winter grin, by helping us put the ale in Finale.
